Canadian Solar to manufacture BESS and cells at Kentucky plant after EnerVenue backs out
Solar PV and BESS firm Canadian Solar will build a BESS and cell manufacturing facility in Kentucky, in a factory which was recently vacated by metal-hydrogen battery company EnerVenue. Canadian Solar will invest an initial US$384 million into the lithium-ion battery cell and battery energy storage system (BESS) manufacturing factory at 140 Logistics Drive, Shelby County.
