Germany largely on track for offshore wind expansion targets – industry
Germany is likely to reach its target of having a total offshore wind electricity capacity of 30 gigawatt (GW) in 2031, one year later than planned, said several industry groups in a joint press release. But the target for 2035 of at least 40 GW is on course to be met one year earlier if the government can create planning security.
